Hi ...My Name is Keia, and on June 2nd, 2011, my life changed forever. My 9 month old son, Elijah, lost his life under the care of his babysitter. He sustained multiple injuries...yet justice has not been served. From Elijah's death I have been inspired to make changes for the safety and protection of children, as well as to bring justice for victims of violent crimes, and in my son's memory I have created the E.L.I. Group. E.L.I. stands for Every Life is Important.
E.L.I. Group is a voice and advocacy for children and victims of violent crimes. We are an organization intent on providing a grief share facility and personal advocacy for the families and friends who have lost someone to tragedy. We publicly fight for change in laws regarding justice, safety and protection of children. We intend to make a true difference by becoming the central hub for the vast services provided by the many community and non-profit organizations already established. We believe in empowering our community through knowledge and resources, by providing appropriate services to those in need, in a swift, personalized and educated way. We are an organization with ideas to change our community for the better, and to protect our children's future, as they truly are our most precious gift.
